Stofgoud, Gouden Piramide 2018
When the credit crisis reached rock bottom, new forms of architecture and area development emerged. Clients were able to realize special ambitions, often on a small scale. The results are now visible. This valuable, fine-grained dust gold marks the harvest of the Gouden Piramide in 2018. This book presents projects from 15 inspiring clients, including winner Lemniskade Projects and the four other nominees. The book contains the judgments of the jury and describes the judging process. In a personal essay, Chief Government Architect and chairman of the jury, Floris Alkemade, advocated the need to see and hear the ‘children of the crisis’, just as the building developments are on the rise again.
“This client remained true to its own ideals and managed to implement them to the limit. The winner of the Gouden Piramide raises the sustainability of urban development to a higher level”
