Twenty years after Arcam published the book Pocket Formats for living, Marc Reniers and Jan Loerakker provide an overview of the state of affairs in Amsterdam’s housing architecture by listing 230 floor plans in combination with a number of essays. These discuss the main trends, the debate on compact housing, the changing influence of technology and sustainability, the rise of cooperative living and the search for typological innovation. Our project Patch22 is represented in the book with 4 floor plans.
