Lemniskade builds projects in a highly complex urban environment. The first project was PATCH22. The “tallest wooden residential building in the Netherlands” was completed in 2016. PATCH22 has won several awards, including the World Architecture News Residential Award 2016, a Green Good Design award and the biennial Dutch Ste Prize for excellent commissioning, the Golden Pyramid. In 2020 Lemniskade completed their latest project: Top-Up, a hybrid wood-concrete building that is built on top of a former transatlantic communication-cable testbuilding. Just like Patch22, Top-Up is built according to the “Open Building” philosophy.
